The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday named a new acting Managing Director for the Niger Delta Development Commission.
He is Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, who has replaced Joi Nunieh.
The replacement was part of the President’s decision to enlarge the membership of NDDC’s Interim Management Committee from three to five.
The changes were announced in a State House statement by Buhari’s media aide, Mr Femi Adesina, in Abuja.
It said, “The five members of the committee are now Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, who is the Ag. Managing Director, replacing Joi Nunieh; Dr Cairo Ojougboh, Ag. Executive Director (Projects); Mr Ibanga Etang, Ag. Executive Director (Finance and Administration); Mrs Caroline Nagbo (member); and Cecilia Akintomide, a former Vice-President with African Development Bank.”
