Godwin Emefiele, Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, has advised the leadership of the banking industry to be ready to do things that would aid Nigeria’s economic recovery.
Emefiele gave the advice at the 12th Annual Bankers Committee retreat, with the theme: “Building Resilience for Economic Growth.”
It held on Tuesday in Lagos.
According to Emefiele, the leadership of the banking sector needed to prepare themselves to face and contend with the third or fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that the retreat was an opportunity to find ways to strengthen and reposition the country for unforeseen challenges, though today, there were foreseen challenges.
