Leaders In The African Continent Have Been Advised To Create A Conducive And Enabling Environment For Local Businesses To Thrive As The Continent Anticipate The Take Off Of The African Continental Free Trade Agreement (Afcfta) From July 2020.

The President Manufacturers Association Of Nigeria Mansur Ahmed At A Press Briefing In Lagos Said For The Gains Of The Afcfta To Be Realized, Government Must Show Readiness In Addressing The Supply Side Constraints Of Lack Of Infrastructure

Ahmed Also Commented On The Planned Increase In Electricity Tariff Noting That Any Tariff Increase Will Affect The Cost Of Production.

He Urged Government To Concentrate On Developing Processes And Policies To Attract Significant Investment To Encourage Large Scale Electricity Generation And Improvement In Transmission And Distribution.
